Poema 'IF' | Rudyard Kiplin

No soy traductor y menos poeta, pero ensayé colocar las ideas de las frases del poema IF (Rudyard Kiplin) que inspira a una de las atletas más grandes de la historia, Chrissie Wellington. Ahora entiendo porqué la súper triatleta inglesa lo considera como una gran fuente de inspiración.

IF you can keep your head when all about you 

Si puedes controlarte cuando todo lo relacionado contigo

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

se pierde y todos te culpan,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

Si puedes confiar en ti mismo cuando todos dudan de ti,

But make allowance for their doubting too;

Y también  les puedes disculpar por sus dudas;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Si puedes esperar y no cansarte de esperar,

Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,

O cuando te mienten, no creer las mentiras,

Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
